I would suggest these are Shelley's Francolin given the "clear white throat with black surround" The other markings aren't too distinct, yet?, they're possibly juveniles?
STUNNING!! This new pack of dogs found in Kasungu National Park 11th. February 2011. Nine dogs in all. I believe them to be a different pack to ones that we saw in October 2010.
I wonder what they told the hire company. Kwaito was one of the large elephants in Hluhluwe and used to rest his head on the top of vehicles. He was never aggresive and many people got thousands of hours of pleasure watching him in the reserve. I love this picture as it is a beautiful example of tourists getting too close to the animals. In Malawi if you tried this you wouldn't be around to tell the tale.
